Our REKEBISHA Collection was designed and debuted in NYC in 2012 in collaboration with SFGK to empower and eradicate poverty amongst women communities facing different life-threatening circumstances in Durban, South Africa.
Ogumbo’s designs represent the modern, fashion-savvy woman. Her bold, elegant & timeless pieces embrace self-definition through sleek cuts, simple-yet-provocative designs and attitude that comes from the inside. In 2012, Liz Ogumbo-Regisford partnered with “Saris For Good Karma,” a new direction to bring ethical fashion to a whole new level through a chic red-carpet look and feel, inspired, designed and produced in Africa by Africa. While creating room to flirt with the non-conventional approach to modern-day-2-day style, the Rekebisha collection designed and debuted in NYC in 2012 by Liz Ogumbo oozes out an inner confidence from within.
The collaborative Liz Ogumbo SFGK collection has carved out a niche in the fashion industry through timeless and classic chic aesthetic employing wardrobe versatility using colour, prints and intricate hand-beading detail which will always be at the heart of African inexpressible chic. While Liz flirts with saris and a variety of other African prints like Leso the collaboration brings to life one-of-a-kind appeal through her classical fitted well-tailored jackets, mini to knee length hems to full length floor-length evening dresses/gowns with brush trains, dresses, skirts and blouses for the day-to-day dames, corsettes, blouses, skirts and accessories.
