Lotus Blooming

Updated: Apr 13, 2021

Like the lotus that slowly emerges from a pond over a three day period and then blooms in the morning, the Lotus collection debuted in Lisbon, Portugal employs wardrobe versatility highlighting a friendly styling clash Juxtaposing prints on prints and heavy textures with lots of hidden layers.

The colour of the Lotus certainly affects its general meaning. The white lotus flower and pink lotus flower from the Nelumbo family are seen as meaning purity and devotion. More passionately coloured red, purple, and blue Lotus flower blooms can take on a spiritual meaning of ascension, enlightenment, or rebirth. A green Lotus flower is a beautiful gift for anyone trying to improve their life and start good habits.

The lotus flower's daily resurrection is certainly interesting, and surely symbolic of revival. The flower also has a fascinating will to live with the ability to withstand thousands of years without water and able to germinate over two centuries later.

Throughout the lotus collection, you will see abundant use of greens & teal moving into peach and pink all the way to gold shades while representing the heart of a lotus flower through her African inexpressible chic.

Throughout this collection, I choose to flirt with a variety of different hints of prints, textures and prints, while the collaboration of these prints brings to life one-of-a-kind ‘juxtaposition’ appeal through my unique styling detail, while highlighting hidden layers throughout this collection.

High-waisted front-slit layered skirts, slim tailored convertible pants, Front slit ‘hi-lo’ gowns, Victorian-inspired convertible bralettes for the day-to-day dames, classic fitted, well-tailored convertible cropped jackets and intricate convertible hand-beaded-Body-Jewellery.

Juxtaposed textures through the convertible layers of fun prints and volumetric form all make this collection worthwhile.

This collection employs a few colours such as Gold, Peach, pink, Green, Teal, and gold undertones through the embroidery and hand- beaded jewellery.

Through each piece, I design to bring to your wardrobe some whimsical flair, with touches of both elegance and playfulness through influences from my world.

You can take any of these pieces from Sunday through the rest of your week in sass and style.

The Lotus Collection will be available in our shop this March 2021.

Yours fabulously,
